New Central Vegetable Market
Jweideh is the site of the Jordan New Central Vegetable Market. In essence, the project consisted of three sections:
Firstly, the construction of 220 three-storey concrete reinforced and stone cladded shops, giving a total built-up area of 67.000 square meters with cashing of 35.000 cubic meters of concrete.
Secondly, the construction of a 6.000 square meter basement to be used as banana cellars with an identical area above it for auction sheds.
Thirdly, the construction of various buildings for administration, banks and other miscellaneous service facilities.
The project was completed, included all the necessary mechanical and electrical works, in June 1995.
